How screening works
Nevo answers first and looks for natural conversation, caller history, silent or delayed responses, repeated prerecorded patterns, excessive attempts, and known reputation signals. When confidence is low, Nevo asks a simple natural challenge such as asking what the caller needs.
Policy modes
- Off: no automated spam enforcement beyond required safety handling.
- Standard: challenge uncertain callers and route likely junk according to conservative rules.
- Strict: apply stronger screening while preserving the required natural attempt to understand a possible customer.
- VIP and trusted contacts bypass ordinary screening unless a documented safety rule requires otherwise.
Shadow mode and review
New spam policies begin in shadow or recommendation-only mode until validated. Decisions, confidence, evidence, and outcomes remain reviewable. The guiding rule is never to hard-block a possible customer without a natural attempt to understand the call.
